Students plan communitywide events and programs and serve as representatives on a wide range of internal and external committees. Their commitment to the future of the Greek Community cannot be understated, and their work helps ensure a positive experience for all our members. Guidance is also provided by the Office of Greek Life Commons and the Alumni Inter-Greek Council.
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic Council, provide guidance, oversight, and direction to our 22 active IFC fraternities and six active Panhellenic sororities on campus. These organizations offer students with opportunities for leadership development, self-governance, and creativity to define their student experience while at Rensselaer.
An organization consisting of alumni from different chapters on campus. The AIGC serves as a resource for undergraduates, as well as a forum in which alumni can voice their concerns.
Members of our fraternities and sororities are selected for the Omega Greek Honor Society based on leadership, character, academic achievement, and community involvement. These members, brought together under the advisement of our Greek community's finest friends, alumni, and administrators, strive to improve the conditions of our member organizations, as well as our international reputation as a model in Greek life.
